Razor abruptly tore the bag from his hands and threw its contents on the floor.
A comb, an old handkerchief, several photographs and a small metal box fell on the asphalt.
The inmates laughed.
—And that’s all? —Navaja mocked—. Have we wasted so much time because of this garbage?
The old woman bent down to pick up her things.
But one of the women pushed aside one of the photographs with the toe of her shoe.
—Crawl, grandma. Go find her.
Several inmates who were nearby watched what was happening, but none of them intervened.
They all knew Navaja.w
And everyone understood that whoever tried to defend the newcomer would become the next victim.
The old woman picked up the photograph in silence.
When she tried to get up, Navaja pushed her on the shoulder.
The woman lost her balance and fell to her knees.

But her plea only made her attackers laugh even more.
Razor grabbed the old woman by the clothes, pulled her up and slapped her.
